Controller: TRIPZY LTD (Company No. 16648665), 23 De Walden St, London, W1G 8RW, United Kingdom.
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site owners.
We also use localStorage, a similar web storage technology built into your browser. Like cookies, localStorage allows websites to store small amounts of data on your device, but the data is not sent to the server with every request. Throughout this policy, references to "cookies" include localStorage where applicable.
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, to remember your preferences, and to understand how visitors use our service. Our cookies fall into three categories:
When you first visit Tripzy, a cookie consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. No analytics or marketing tracking occurs until you give your explicit consent.
These cookies are essential for Tripzy to function correctly. They enable core features such as authentication and remembering your preferences. Because they are strictly necessary, they are always active and do not require your consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| appSession | Auth0 | Authentication session — keeps you logged in | Cookie (HTTP-only) | Session (expires on browser close) or up to 7 days |
| tripzy_cookie_consent | Tripzy (first-party) | Stores your cookie consent preferences (per-category choices and timestamp) | localStorage | 12 months (re-prompted after expiry) |
| tripzy_departure_airport | Tripzy (first-party) | Remembers your preferred departure airport | localStorage | Persistent until cleared |
| tripzy_currency | Tripzy (first-party) | Remembers your preferred display currency | localStorage | Persistent until cleared |
These help us understand how visitors use Tripzy — which features are popular, where users encounter difficulties, and how we can improve the experience. No data is shared with advertisers. Analytics cookies are off by default and only activated when you give your consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ph_* | PostHog | Analytics — pageview tracking, feature usage, session replay (DOM interaction recording for product improvement) | Cookie + localStorage | 1 year |
| AMP_* | Amplitude | Analytics — event tracking, session replay sampling | Cookie + localStorage | 1 year |
Session replay: Session replay records DOM interactions (clicks, scrolls, form interactions) to help us identify usability issues. Form input values and sensitive data are automatically masked.
We do not currently use marketing cookies. If we introduce them in future, they will only be activated with your consent and this policy will be updated accordingly.
You can manage your cookie preferences at any time:
Note: Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from functioning correctly.
Your consent preferences are stored locally and will expire after 12 months, at which point we will ask for your consent again.
Some of our analytics providers (PostHog, Amplitude) may set their own cookies. These are only activated when you consent to analytics cookies.
Stripe, our payment provider, may set cookies during the checkout process for fraud prevention and payment security. These are classified as strictly necessary.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page.
If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at [email protected] or [email protected].
For full details on how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
