As required by law, Tripzy Limited has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent.

Your key rights under the Package Travel Regulations 2018

  1. Essential information before booking — Travellers will receive all essential information about the package before concluding the package travel contract.
  2. Organiser responsibility — There is always at least one trader who is liable for the proper performance of all the travel services included in the contract. In the case of packages booked through Tripzy, Tripzy Limited is the organiser responsible for the package.
  3. Emergency contact — Travellers are given details of a contact point through which they can get in touch with the organiser or the travel agent. Contact: [email protected].
  4. Transfer the package — Travellers may transfer the package to another person, on reasonable notice and possibly subject to additional costs.
  5. Cancel before departure — Travellers may terminate the contract before the start of the package and receive a full refund of any payments, less a reasonable termination fee. The cancellation fee depends on the specific fare and rate conditions applicable to your booking.
  6. Free cancellation for extraordinary circumstances — Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee before the start of the package in the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, for instance if there are serious security problems at the destination which are likely to affect the package.
  7. Price increase protection — The price of the package may only be increased after the conclusion of the contract if specific costs rise (for instance fuel prices), and if expressly provided for in the contract. If the price increase exceeds 8% of the price of the package, the traveller may terminate the contract. If the organiser reserves the right to a price increase, the traveller has the right to a price reduction if there is a decrease in the relevant costs. Note: Tripzy fixes prices at booking confirmation and does not increase prices after booking.
  8. Significant changes — If any of the essential elements of the package, other than the price, are changed significantly, the traveller may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee.
  9. Compensation for non-performance — If, after the start of the package, significant elements of the package cannot be provided as agreed, suitable alternative arrangements will have to be offered to the traveller at no extra cost. The traveller may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee where services are not performed in accordance with the contract and this substantially affects the performance of the package and the organiser fails to remedy the problem. The traveller is also entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation for damages where the travel services are not performed or are improperly performed.
  10. Assistance in difficulty — The organiser has to provide assistance if the traveller is in difficulty, including by providing information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance, and by helping the traveller to make distance communications and helping the traveller to find alternative travel arrangements.
  11. Refund within 14 days — If the organiser cancels the package before departure, the traveller is entitled to a full refund within 14 days.
  12. Insolvency protection — The organiser has security in place to ensure that, in the event of insolvency, your payments will be refunded and, if transport is included in the package, your repatriation is secured. Tripzy Limited holds ATOL licence number 12855 issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.
